Yeah!!! That would be an awesome topic to write about. It is not only great for the people who live/been there, but also for the people who may have never been there. I would take shot at it and see what happens. It's always best to write about what you are interested in! You never know, some blogger may end up wanting to visit Long Island because of what you write about.
