Vision/Leadership

"Vision is at the very core of leadership. Take vision away from a leader and you cut out his or her heart. Vision is the fuel that leaders run on. It's the energy that creates action. It's the fire that ignites the passion of followers. It's the clear call that sustains focused effort year after year, decade after decade, as people offer consistent and sacrificial service to God. Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained." They can't focus, can't reach their goal, can't follow their dream. An older translation says, "Whithout vision, the people perish." I've seen it with my own eyes; without vision, people lose the vitality that makes them feel alive."-Courageous Leadership by Bill Hybels This is true in any leader's life. The vision of what God has given keeps us going even when we are tired and it seems impossible. I believe God designed us this way by giving us a percervering spirit.
