The LORD said to Samuel before he annointed David as the next king, "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." What this tells me is that we shouldn't feel this need to look like anyone else, to act like them, and to talk like them. We are who God created us to be. The ONLY person we should imitate is Jesus Christ. So, the next time you feel like you don't "fit-the-bill," just remember the LORD's words. He looks at your heart. Where is your heart today?

The Heart
The LORD said to Samuel before he annointed David as the next king, "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Wow, looking back at this today...I really needed to hear this! I am going through a situation right now that is trying, but I know that I am honoring God in what I am doing.
