The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.
Psalm 28:7
In this relationship with God, He is wanting our trust. We can walk this Christian life doing one of either two things. One, we can question every single thing He asks of us or He does Himself, or two, we can trust that He knows best and is in control.
The joy of the Lord cannot be compared to anything else. This verse says that "the Lord is my strength and my shield" and we know that the joy of the Lord can be our strength. The joy of the Lord is like a shield over our heart that is strong when we trust in Him. He helps us from a broken or weary heart. This is truly something to praise God for.
