Coax the sun to shine through sky,
Leaving all the clouds behind,
And soon I'll dance with You in hand,
The Father's heart, here in mine,
Smile down from Heaven's rays,
Like love's delight shines on my face,
I chase away all the butterflies,
To hollow out this peaceful place,
Shift the light and hold it here,
Slow down the winding and the glare,
Embrace the sounds of wind and bird,
Trace a path upon the earth,
Swift and merry feet do chase,
Like rabbits and there hearts' race,
All around like whispers of song,
A name resounds, surrounds, enthroned,
Laughter is the echoed mystery,
Where is my love, where is He?
I ask the wild things, the trees, but none,
Has any seen Him? Not even one,
Swift waters fall from the skies,
A pool of gold, such brilliant lights,
Every sip a cool delight,
Like air upon the warmest nights,
Wings like nothing else before,
Reaching down He picks me up,
Free to soar in this embrace,
From here I see through His gaze.
