We think we know?!?
The Greeks were known for their philosophers. They wanted to know the meaning of life and everything in it. They came up with some really great ideas, but they still didn't get it. 1Corinthians 2-3 talks a lot about this. This is what we speak, not words taught us by human wisdom...(2:13a) We try to figure things out in our own human minds and that is not what we are called to do. We are to seek for God's secret wisdom. No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him (2:9). And yet we think we know it all?!? I don't want the wisdom of man. I want God to be my teacher.

His Eyes Are Fixed On The Fields
The other day during my "quiet time with God" He gave me this vision. He gave it to me in a song, but I will just tell you about it. He said that his eyes were fixed on the fields. The fields are ripe with the harvest. But He cannot find the workers for the fields. He keeps searching the fields and cannot find them. He keeps calling out their names and they don't answer. Then later on that day He said that His eyes were fixed on Bloomington and the IU campus. He is searching for the workers among the harvest. Will He find you working? Will you answer Him?

Life Is Like A Box of Chocolates....
Do you ever wonder what life would be like if there was never anything new or challenging? Sometimes it seems unfair. Especially when you weren't expecting to bite into that marshmallow filled chocolate. But, I am sure we would get tired of eating the same caramel filled one every time. But, I always hate it when all the good ones are gone!!! Life is like that a lot. I like it when things go like I am used to them going. I am very routine oriented. But, then something happens that I never expected and it throws me for a loop. I wonder what I have gotten myself in to, or why I didn't see it coming. But, the funny thing is that no matter what is inside the package, it is all....chocolate!!! No matter the filling!!! So, no matter what happens, it's all part of life. It may not always taste good, but it still has a meaning and purpose. So, don't throw out the bad chocolates and just eat the good ones!!!

Faith
Sometimes I believe God gives us tests. He already knows what we are going to do, but he really wants us to realize what the test was/is so that if we pass it, we can be encouraged and strengthened in faith. When you look back and see what you were tested with, it becomes so obvious. The hardest part is knowing that what you are going through at the present is a test and what you should do in it. The Bible says to believe. I believe that God helps us through tests. He speaks to us and tries to guide us. We just need to listen and obey. I believe that through faith, mountains and walls can be moved.
